摘要

The health benefits of use of traditional food systems include sociocultural, economic, and nutritional benefits. Understanding the parameters of a traditional food system requires understanding the culture and environment of the people using the food, and attention to the local issues of biological diversity and conservation. In this paper, the term "Indigenous People" is referred to as one cultural group in a unique ecological area that has the knowledge, in living memory, to develop a successful subsistence base from natural resources available.
