摘要

In this paper, an exact analytical solution based on a Fourier analysis is proposed to compute the local force in a surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous machine. The magnetic field solutions are obtained by using a magnetic vector potential and by selecting the appropriate boundary conditions. Based on these solutions, the local force is also determined analytically. In order to verify these analytical results, an experimental system was implemented on a servomotor and load cell. The analytical results are consistent with a finite element analysis and with experimental results.
