The field of the spillway in Jiangsu oilfield locates between Huaihe river and Yangtze river,rnlower reaches of the Hongze lake. Irregular floodwater caused specific corrosion of the platforms. Thernrates of corrosion in different part of platform in the different positions were investigated by weight lossrntest. The results of the corrosion rates of carbon steels in atmosphere, water and soil were gained. Therncorrosion for the carbon steels was uniform in atmospheric exposure, the corrosion rates were in the rangernof 0.04691 ~0.07309 mm/a. At the beginning of the test in water, the corrosion rates for the carbon steelsrnwere in the range of 0.02~0.03mm/a by interacting of corrosion, passivation and biological slime; 30 daysrnlater, the corrosion rates were ranged from 0.03 to 0.08mm/a. The corrosion rates for the carbon steels forrnthe different regions and different depth in soil were ranged from 0.005 to 0.13 mm/a, 90 days later, therncorrosion rates were 0.005 ~0.06mm/a. The morphology of corrosion images showed that all thernsamples of carbon steels besides those in atmosphere had obviously localized corrosion, which causedrnworse destruction than uniform corrosion.rnThe more 10 different sort of adapted coatings of different parts in different regions were investigated, thernresult of 3~4 coatings in the different proportion of quality and price was gained. Primer coat abovernground was IPN or epoxy zinc-rich and top coatings were IPN, acrylic polyurethane or epoxy-coal tarrnpitch. Primer coat in underground was IPN or epoxy zinc-rich and top coatings were IPN or epoxy-coalrntar pitch.
