摘要

Oleamide have been synthesized and the inhibition of carbon dioxide corrosion of mild steel in CO2rnsaturated brine media by oleamide had been investigated. electrochemical studies were performed in aeratedrnbrine solution by Tafel polarization curves. Surfaces were characterized by scanning electron microscopy.rnThe recorded electrochemical data show that the corrosion resistance is greatly enhanced in the presence ofrninhibitor. Inhibition efficiencies up to 93.6% can be obtained. Polarisztion curves reveal that oleamide is anrnanodic type inhibitor.rnThe corrosion protection can be explained by the chemical adsorption of inhibitor and formation of arnprotective layer attached to the metal surface. Raman microspectroscopy attest to the results. Experimentsrnshow that oleamide will have a fine prospect as a corrosion inhibitor in CO2 saturated brine media.
