Real-time information covering bus interchanges - managing the information requirement

The AKTA project seeks in simple terms to assist visually impaired in finding the right bus and gettingof the bus at the right destination. Through two demonstrators we aimed to extend the functionality ofthe public transport information system to facilitate the needs of visually impaired. Web interface andmobile phone is the information canal for real-time information along the trip. Real-time departure andarrival information via text messages to assist visually impaired is established as a standard forupcoming Norwegian installations of passenger information.The next step is to provide travelers with the possibility to obtain real-time information included buschanges and walking directions as you may get by a travel planer. The information carrier is still themobile phone. One challenge in this set-up is to manage the information if the traveler aborts during atrip. How do we verify the need for the next message?
