摘要

Presented heterodyne imaging interferometer is a simple experimental platform that can be used for developing high resolution sparse aperture imaging algorithms. In the experiment presented above, the subapertures were parts of the same detector array. Therefore, they were naturally phased relatively to each other. If those subapertures were individual detector arrays placed in the given sparse aperture arrangement, then there would be some variations in the phase of the complex images constructed from the intensity radiation data. In such case, it would be necessary to make some adjustments to the complex phase information in order to improve the resolution of the sparse aperture imaging system. One can take a radiation intensity data from the heterodyne imaging interferometer and introduce some arbitrary phase variations in the complex image data. Then these subaperture complex images with altered phase can be used to test the phasing algorithms for various resolution requirements.
