The simulation of the test range showed that the multiple screen technique can greatly reduce anisoplanatic imaging errors. The simulation also revealed that the correction is ultimately limited by distortions introduced through sharpening. In future work a merit function will be added to the sharpness metric that will penalize the distorting components of the screen solutions. Sharpening of range data is also limited by the atmospheric phase fitting error of the Zernike basis functions. Other basis functions will be explored for improved fitting error. Application of this correction to extended scenes will also be explored.
