Application of the molecular sieves as matrices for the pigments

The uniform and well ordered system of intracrystalline voids of the molecular sieves can be employed for encapsulation of molecules containing the chromophore groups and result in forming pigments. The sulfur anion-radicals (responsible for blue color of ultramarine) can be introduced into AIPO_4-2O and form the ultramarine analog, although the attempts to encapsulate them into zincophosphate sodalite failed. The latter can, however, accommodate CdS that was incorporated during dry crystallization of SOD by means of grinding of substrate mixture. The organic cation-radicals generated by oligomerization of styrene and its derivatives inside the MFI (HZSM-5, H-ferrosilicalite) channels form very stable products of various coloration.
