Facilitated transport of cations through ferrofluid membrane with tia calix 4 arenes derivatives as carriers

Calixarene derivatives are lipophilic carrlers witch can transport metal tons selectively through liquid membranes. In this work we report our preliminary results on transport of calions (Pb~(2+)and Cd~(2+)) through ferrofluid membrane assisted by tio calix [4] arene. The system used is designed so that increases the mass transfer surface between source phase and receiving phase and improves all stirring. Macrocyclic receptors prepared were purified and characterized by IR, UV-VIS method and elementary analysis.
