The traditional pulse width modulation (PWM) technique has been superseded by space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) techniques, for digital implementation. In this paper, SVPWM of single phase half- bridge inverter based current control using the d-q synchronous reference frame is proposed. The results are applied in the current control of single phase inverter supplying resistive and inductive loads. Grid-tied single phase inverter for photovoltaic system applications is also discussed in this paper. The concept is validated by simulation in MATLAB.
