IT Capability and Firm Performance Based on Dynamic Capability View

摘要

Considering the rapidly changing competitive environment today,many firms should have their IT capabilities to ensure continuous competitive advantage in the field of strategic management. Yet,we still know little about how and why IT facilitates firm performance in dynamic environment. The paper try to propose the indirect impact mechanism of IT capability on firm performance from dynamic capability view,and test empirically the relationship of IT capability,dynamic capability and firm performance. Based on data from China,the research finds that IT capability impact firm performance via dynamic capability and IT capability impacts dynamic capability significantly,is the key antecedent of dynamic capability building. Some suggestions for the future study related to the IT business value research from dynamic capability view are also included in the last section.
