TransCom System: A New Computing Paradigm Towards Least Risk

The prevalence of Internet has dramatically changed the landscape of the desktop computing and increases risk to computer users greatly. Lack of appropriate management is much of the reason for the risk. This paper proposes TransCom system, which creates a transparent desktop for users that can be managed centrally, offers increased security, manageability and affordability without sacrificing performance. We describe the architecture and quality features of TransCom system. For a proof of concept, we present an implementation and give the performance evaluation.
