A Heuristic Approach for the Flowshop Problem with Due Dates and Release Times

摘要

This study proposes a simple heuristic approach for solving the flowshop scheduling problem with due dates and release times. The development of this heuristic was driven by a real application at a ship manufacturer. The computational results indicate that the proposed heuristic leads to reductions in makespan, total tardiness, and number of tardy jobs.
