The Research on Strategies of Motivation Design of Educational Games Based on the ARCS Model

Educational Games is the product of the integration of education and game. Learning motivation will affect the performance of teaching directly when Educational Games applies in teaching process. In the foundation of Keller's ARCS model, this paper studies the strategies of motivation design of Educational Games.rnWith the development of multimedia and network technology, learning resources and teaching mode basedon network are more and more rich, such as network curriculum, thematic resource website. These can give learners new experience. As one of them, because it is "edutainment", Educational Games attracted the concern of the teachers. Some research has shown that：learning motivation will affect the performance of teaching directly when Educational Games applies in teaching process. So, thispaper studies the strategies of motivation design of Educational Games in the foundation of Keller's ARCS model to provide reference to the developers of Education Games.
