Located in northwestern Xinjiang,China the Junggar Basin is surrounded by the Tian Shan in the south,the Altyn Shan in the north and the Zayr Shan in the west,forming a near triangle inland basin.The inner partof the basin is the Gurbantonggut desert.The Junggar basin is a superimposed basin formed in late Paleozoictime (Jin et al.,2010),and its basement structure and property have been disputed in geoscience for a long time.They are also the key problems for oil and gas exploration,development and perspective prediction.
