Developments of the STEP2 Model: Household Microsimulation for Travel Demand Modeling

摘要

This paper describes the development of the Household Microsimulation travel demand model for Clark County, Nevada, USA. Two key attributes distinguish this microsimulation transportation planning model from traditional aggregate, 4-step models: (1) the model is applied at the level of the individual rather than basedon zonal averages and (2) it includes a residential choice component to forecast the spatial distribution of households in the urban area.
