Emergency towage arrangements Under new maritime emergency response arrangements in Australia, a number of vessels capable of conducting emergency towage operations are located in strategic Australian coastal regions. These vessels provide a minimum level of emergency towage capability to deal with a significant, or potentially significant, threat to Australia's marine environment.
