This paper will review a wide range of thermal spray powders to produce wear and corrosion resistant coatings in several industrial(non-aerospace) applications.The range of powders will include several grades of metals/alloys，hard wear resistant carbides，and ceramic oxide powders.The mechanisms and properties of such powders will be discussed as they relate to industrial applications.Examples of applications from steel，automotive，pulp/paper,oil/gas，plastics and glass industries will be included.
