Integrated frame and junction box of photovoltaic module

The present invention produces a photovoltaic module 1 in which a junction box forms one piece with the frame 3 of this module. Preferably, the junction box 4 forms one piece with a frame element 5 which constitutes a part of the frame 3 of the photovoltaic module 1. This arrangement simplifies the construction of the photovoltaic module 1 and also improves its structural and electrical integrity. More importantly, this eliminates the need to place a junction box on the rear face of the photovoltaic module 1. This is particularly important when using two-faced solar cells since no area of these cells, neither on the front nor on the rear, should be covered. IMAGE
