This objectives of the study were to evaluate the body composition, uptake nutrient inrnmammary gland and milk amino acid profile of lactating Etawah Crossbred goats fed withrntempeh waste. Twelve of second lactating goats were randomly allotted into three groupsrnthat received concentrate (D1), concentrate plus fresh tempeh waste (D2) and concentrate plusrnfermented tempeh waste (D3). Fermented tempeh waste was made with Aspergillus niger .rnKinggrass was given 50% of the total ration for all groups. Nutrient uptake in mammaryrngland was calculated using Fick principles. Urea space technique was used to measure bodyrncomposition in the prior and end of study, while milk production was collected two times arnday during two months since post partum. Total milk protein and amino acid in whole milk,rnwhey and casein were analyzed using kjeldahl method and amino acid analyzer, respectively.rnResult showed that the highest of milk yield was found in D-3 treatment. Concentration ofrnglutamic acid was dominant than other essential amino acids in whole milk, whey andrncasein.There was significant different of body weight, where D-3 treatment was the highest.rnBody water, protein and fat were same in all treatments. It was concluded that fermentedrntempeh waste could substitute 50% of total concentrate and had the highest body weight andrnmilk yield in lactating Etawah Crossbred goats. Body composition were same but nutrienrnuptake in mammary gland of D3 was the highest.
